It was just around the corner from my digs in Lurie Road.

So, yeah, I ran it from there.

I don't know.

My brother came and helped me with it.

We built, I think we had 300 or 400 members or something, which was huge in those days.

I mean, there's no social media or anything.

And I still get people now come to me with the newsletters that we did.

We did it properly, you know, and we put a lot of work into it.

And people from Sweden and Denmark and Japan, one girl.

I don't know how she even found out about us, but she did.

So, yeah, we had a few.

They weren't all Liverpool.

You know, they were from all over Europe.

this country and even wider ireland obviously because of the huge connection in those days with the guinness ship coming over full of the irish i mean they've always been massive fans of liver there's always been a massive pull for the irish in liverpool because because you know liverpool and ireland are all almost together in many ways

So, yeah, they were great days, but yeah, we weren't scared to try new things.

And some people used to laugh and say, you know, I mean, I remember Bill Shankly coming up to me one day and he never said ever to me, son, you're doing too much.

But I mean, I was doing a Deli Express column.

I had my name on a pair of boots.

And this was all in about a year and a half.
