Yeah, I sure did and and really truly fortunate to have that relationship.

I always look forward to any time spent with Cal.

Uh he was such an interesting man, um, you know, honest gentleman, um

friendly interest in what you have to say.

uh, you know, ne never judgmental, uh uh at least too often with me, uh which was kinda fun.

But uh uh you know, it w from the day I mean I met Cal in the early eighties when he was opening up some of his gas land retail outfits in northern Alberta and Glenn Anderson was his pitch man and they brought me along to a couple of store openings and really got to know him a little bit then and then of course

in two thousand when he and uh another fine Edmonton gentleman, uh Bruce Pennick, showed up my door.

Uh kids running around all over the house.

They showed up uh

asked me if I'd like to be the general manager uh or wanted to put my name and I had to become general manager when Glenn Saylor left and

And from that point on, um

had had an amazing relationship and uh and really so fortunate I got to know the man.

And uh and I really think it's important that he's celebrated big time.

And I hope that the the city and or others are thinking about something significant to name after Cal Nichols because

I mean lots of people will acknowledge that the orders are important to town, others won't, but the fact is

Uh without Cal Nichols the Orders wouldn't still be here today, so uh that's that's a pretty important fact to remain uh to to remember from uh from everyone.
