You know, there's huge parallels between the Oilers and this Canadian Olympic team in the sense that, of course, there's not as much talent on the Oilers team, but if they can just play a little better defense, they can have success.

And...

the the thing is you got guys like connor and crosby and i guess mckinnon i don't know him that well but you know you got guys that want to win it so bad uh that they'll put i mean connor can play at that high level and not again not have to sacrifice anything but still play good defensively like if you saw him you know today in that game was amazing he comes out and he runs over a guy like that's a guy that's motivated to win and

Um, and then, you know, it was a few times in his shifts early in the game, he was having success, but he didn't stay out there long.

He changed so that the other guys could get out there.

It was like a really, when you, when, when a guy of his stature does that stuff, I mean, it just elevates the entire team, but, but back to your point about skill, there's, there's a, every line can score, uh,

And I'm not sure we've seen as much scoring.

Maybe 0-2, I guess, had scoring, you know, 1-4.

But, yeah, amazing offense on that team.

And if they – all they got to do is commit to the defense when needed, and they'll win a gold medal.

All the battling the

You know, they they play four check card, they play at a a fast pace.

I mean he's a long legged guy.

I can just imagine how much pain he was dealing with.

And um you know, and and the consequence of that is, you know, there's one thing to try to get it through and hey, listen, lots of players play injury injured, but not to that kind of injury.

Um it w you know, uh certainly if it was a regular season game, there's zero chance.

Um but uh like w you know, and the the more I thought about it, some of the plays he made were just like totally uncharacteristic of of a guy of his hockey sense of ability and and, you know uh some breakaways, some plays and and you know, uh uh s you know, passes that weren't quite as good that he put in his partner's feet and then he went to that that one goal and he
