Hey, Stopp, I'm doing great, and I don't want to have to correct you right out of the gate here, but it's three gold medals, 2002, 2010, 2014, with a little bit of a blip in Torino in 2006.

correct yeah the first 2002 2006 with Wayne Gretzky and then Wayne stepped down and I was you know figured I was done as well and then out of the blue I got a call from Steve Iserman and uh and it's such a prestigious opportunity to at any level like whether you're a trainer or a scout or or a coach or a manager or a player to play for your country it's just amazing especially at the Olympics so

You want to let other guys, other people in the business get the opportunity.

But Stevie, I knew Stevie pretty well, and he said, listen, we want to have at least one guy from the previous years, and we'd really like you to join our group for Vancouver.

And, of course, it was Vancouver.

I was like, how can you not be in Canada and be a part of that?

And then when we were going to Sochi in 2014, it was like,

Well, I got to go to Russia and beat the Russians on, you know, be part of a team that beats the Russians right on their home soil.

So I was a little gluttonous, but lots of fun.

You know, the background on Wayne being chosen by Bob Nicholson and Hockey Canada lead the 0-2 team after, you know, a lot of Canadians would, or some Canadians would call the 98 a failure.

They never lost a game in the round robin, you know, and they lost in a shootout.

But anyhow, the perception was we sent our best and we didn't even medal.

And, you know, there was, you know,

Guys like Ken Dryden, God bless his soul, or, you know, people like that were saying, well, we got to change everything we do in the country.

No, no, all you had to do was bring Wayne Gretzky in and then you could change things.

So Wayne, we had, I mean, even having Mario there, Mario was banged up.

He was older.

He wasn't particularly fast, but, you know, those kinds of decisions, another group might not have done that.

And I mean, that was a great moment that Canada hadn't won in 50 years and, and,
