So they're often winners and losers in any technology implementation.

I just encourage the leadership team, don't just think about the winners, also think about the people that are being negatively impacted and have a plan for them.

It is a worry, particularly as private equity and other groups move into what's traditionally been our business.

So we're trying to approach it again by staying close to our physicians, make sure that they aren't falling into the lure of easy money, but let's see if we can figure things out.

Our physicians, our community understands that A is related to B, B is related to C. If you change C, you're also affecting A. And just so people understand the ecosystem that we participate in.

I'm not afraid of the disruptors.

So how do you do scenario planning?

So if it doesn't go quite the way, you have alternatives.

We learned from a near-death financial experience in the late 90s at Penn that

You know, if you think everything's going to work out just the way you want it to, that rarely happens.

So make sure you have alternatives.

2008, you know, one of our big building projects came to a screeching halt with the recession.

Fortunately, we had three smaller building projects that we could do quickly to keep us going as we move forward.

So I think it's not having the hubris that you're smart enough to predict the future.
