Well, hi there and welcome to the podcast, Big Design Adventure.
This particular episode is coming to you from Kevin's hotel room where he's lamenting the fact that everything's on some weird... How would you describe... I'd describe it as a useless dimmer.
In the history of the world, has anyone ever had a conversation where they've said, you know what I hate?
Knobs are so annoying.
You know what a shit?
I hate the clicking sound they make.
I hate that I can find them during the night.
It's a good segue into today's guest because when we went to see John Wardle, the super award-winning architect, one of Australia's finest architects.
Gold medal winner.
Gold medal winner.
We were trying to use one of his PowerPoints and he needed an app to turn the PowerPoint on, which was a little annoying, I've got to say.
I was surprised.
Yeah, because he's got a PowerPoint that was put in the floor, concealed in the floor, that didn't have room for a switch to turn it on.
Seems bizarre, but, look, he's pushing the envelope.
I mean, my other favourite story about John is that we're at his house in Bruny Island in Tasmania, Shira's Quarters, and, like,
one of the most awarded houses going around.
I think it won a world architectural award.
It's beautiful.
