The growth of all these urban centers, towns, around the mill.

So the mills sort of came first, and then the towns grew up around the mills because you built the housing next to the mill, you know, and there were so many of them that the towns then agglomerated into Greater Manchester.

And so we go to a place called Lee, L-E-I-G-H, and that is sort of hovering between.

Liverpool and Manchester, isn't it?

And those buildings still completely dominate the skyline.

I mean, I don't know how many there were.

There were hundreds of mills and they were huge buildings.

Yeah.

You look at this giant hulk of a red brick factory that's got about eight stories high and it's got a huge chimney and m still a massive working steam engine in one of the buildings.

It's incredibly successful, this place.

That was the great surprise for me.

Just chuck the hypnotist in, I know.
