It's probably shown that he's come back from seven fractures of his skull, a broken foot, missed nearly 100 games and won five best affairs.
He's got some character written all over him.
And I think this last decade, he would have learned a hell of a lot as a person in general and be a more rounded case of maybe what he was the first time he got that opportunity.
But that's only my opinion.
Yeah.
And I'm allowed to have it.
We're going to have to have a pretty tough person and a person who loves the club.
We've had three people probably that have come from other clubs that just
somehow or other, may not have really got to understand what Essendon Footy Club's all about.
I had to find out quickly myself when I got there.
Totally different club than Richmond, I can assure you.
And that's the part of being a mature sort of person that can take on a role.
Because coaching is, these days, an incredibly difficult job, mainly because we just don't pick the best team because it's not like we pick the
you know, the Australian soccer team to play for Australia.
You pick a team out of every 18, pick in a draft or trade or whatever you do.
So it's a lot more difficult than picking the Australian test cricket side.
Do you know what I mean?
So a lot of people don't realise that.
It's a really, really difficult job.
