And I'm sure that they'd pick up on things that I don't or speak to people that I couldn't.
And I'm sure there's lots more still to discover.
I mentioned Link to the Past.
I got it for my birthday when I was seven.
And it just blew my tiny mind because it was so reactive.
Like, I would have an idea...
Because my parents are quite technophobic, so I was only allowed to play games for like half an hour here and there.
And at one point, I was only allowed to play on like a Friday and a Saturday.
Obviously, that worked really well in tempering my enthusiasm for games.
Super successful strategy.
But yeah, a Zelda game has tended to come along just when I need it in life to kind of revitalize my love for games.
So Link to the Past was my first Zelda.
And then when I was getting a bit sick of games in my teens, and I was at that stage that a lot of girls and AFAB people reach where you feel like maybe you shouldn't be playing games anymore.
You get to about 13, 14.
Then Wind Waker came out and I was like, oh no, I love this.
I love this.
I still want to keep playing games.
And I was thinking about being a games journalist and that kind of
regenerated my enthusiasm.
