Exactly.
Yeah.
I would say rich white Americans have largely been at the top of the social hierarchy in the United States and have held most of the wealth, political power, so on and so forth.
So a lot of decisions that you make can be traced back to the logic of how that power can be protected.
I think Gen Z is fighting on multiple fronts.
I mean, we've seen it ever since 2020.
We've been a generation that has...
always really cared about activism and social justice that manifested largely at our coming of age on the internet because of the pandemic and similar circumstances.
So you'll see people on social media constantly reposting news about the Supreme Court decision
or actions and petitions.
I have my sub stack, for example, and I have a lot of young subscribers there, but also on places like TikTok and Instagram, where young people are really focused and sharing this information with their peers through the networks that they use the most, which are social media.
But then on top of that, we're seeing young people come out in real life to mobilize.
I think the biggest example of this we saw in New York City, where Zoran Mamdani won largely based off a coalition of young people who not only supported him,
by door knocking, by walking from one tip to the other of Manhattan, but also by organizing the campaign, the design of it, by incorporating Gen Z slang, Gen Z language, technology.
There's so much that young people, now that we're, as Gen Z specifically, coming of age and coming into power, that we're doing to make the world the way that we want to see it.
Yeah.
So what we've been seeing, especially this past year, is like a huge rift.
I don't want to say civil war, but definitely a rift in the Democratic Party.
So there's like sort of the understanding of the old guard who are a little bit like actually older people.
but generally more moderate to center-leading Democrats who will fight perhaps against Trump, but not fight perhaps as hard as a lot of young progressives want them to fight.
