But I do think it is important to look at the politics of it all and the actual policies and what Mamdani represents as a political figure.
And I think that it's in line with a pattern that we're seeing across the country.
It's not actually separate from what made Trump a successful candidate.
After Trump's election in November, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez actually used her platform, her social media to do a poll.
And she found that there was a huge amount of people who voted for Trump and for her who are like politically very far apart.
But they do represent.
Yeah, and I wish everyone sort of realized that.
If that made sense to everyone in the Democratic Party, then I think that we would be in the right direction.
But I think some people see those results and they can't fathom it.
They don't understand what's going on.
And that's because they're so...
detached from the world of social media, the world of the authenticity, or at least performed authenticity that it takes to be successful here.
And they don't realize that people just want something fresh.
They want something new.
They want a candidate who doesn't feel like they're reading off of a script.
One of the most viral videos from Mamdani's campaign was actually when they were asked about where you would visit as your first place after being mayor.
And most of them said Israel.
And the way that honestly felt canned, like it could have been, it honestly could have been the real answer, but it felt so canned and aligned with people's understanding that politicians just come in with a script.
And Mamdani is the only one who diverged from that, at least in like the viral clip that's going out.
And that is just like a testament to what people are looking for.
