What we heard today is it was an instruction to the financial department through the CFO as per the director general at the time.
But you can't really complain about having maybe a higher standard in an organisation that is funded largely by the taxpayer.
Shane, that is a very, very fair point.
And I suspect very few people would have even seen it or been aware it happened.
Yeah, and no public institution should be afraid of those questions.
Again, because we mentioned there a couple of times that the situation with D4s continues to be health concerns preventing her being able to answer these questions as it was a few years ago.

Maireann, what do you make of this latest controversy, scandal, crises, whatever you're having yourself?
The line was slightly given up on us, but on that point, for what it's worth, because I was watching some of the committee and that issue came up before we came on air about how it took so long.
And look, I'm open to correction on this and if I'm corrected before three o'clock, I'll let you know.
But as far as I know, the Director General, Kevin Backer, said
It took three weeks, I think, between finding out about it and fixing the problem and informing the minister why it took so long.
He was asked, actually pointed to that question, why did it take so long to find out about it?
And it was to do with kind of what lists people were on that, you know...
I guess in this case, Derek Mooney didn't appear on the list he was looking at.
Maybe that's kind of a gross oversimplification.
