So now all the power is concentrated in the White House and he's continuing to accumulate and gobble up more power.
And he gets to keep it so long as nobody meaningfully pushes back through lawsuits, through Congress impeachment, through, you know,
You know, he's ignoring lots of laws of Congress.
So a lot of the levers of accountability are gone.
Now, you raise an excellent point, which is, OK, what about elections?
A lot of people are saying, oh, well, we'll just worry about the midterms.
The midterms will fix it.
Now, even if even if the elections run smoothly, the Democrats take over the House.
The question is, what can they do?
pass more legislation that he ignores.
They can't impeach unless they get the United States Senate to agree to do that.
We're not even talking about impeachment, even though there's lots of impeachable conduct that's happened.
Now, as far as declaring war, I mean, I do think, you know, these this kind of normalizing of having troops, National Guard troops in the streets, ice in the streets as if it's like almost a personal, a personal army.
by this individual, and again, no probable cause to pick up some of these people, installing fear, I think that does kind of create this environment where imagine we've got elections and there's an emergency, or we got to send the troops into the blue cities and the blue states to quell the far left woke, Antifa or whatever it is.
And people, people of color in particular, who already are afraid of being picked up by ICE, they're just not going to vote.
Right.
And we know in our last elections, the last three presidential elections, that the margins have been extremely thin.
And so, so, so I think the larger idea here, which has been going on now for eight or nine years, and Don knows because we've talked about this many times over the years on various shows.
It's been a steady march towards authoritarianism, towards unlimited power in one place.
And what's challenging is getting Americans to understand this matters for your life.
