The power came from the divine.
And people get winners and losers based on the whims of the king.
It's like a triangle.
A democracy flips the triangle upside down.
And so the people have the power.
It's messy.
It's complicated.
You have to make compromises.
You never get what you want.
It's slow.
All the complaints.
We hear about bureaucracy and voting and things.
But that power trickles down to everyone.

And the people have the power to fire the president.
It's not a king.
What's happening under the Trump administration with Project 2025 and the Republican Party is that that's gotten flipped.
