Like perhaps, you know, we are here for a time such as this.
We are doctors who have lived this life and who are experiencing uniquely two pandemics.
One, the old pandemic that nobody was paying attention to, but we were feeling racism.
And then this pandemic that's got my kids on virtual school and making my life miserable.
Along other things.
Miserable, right?
But it is like, but it is interesting, right, to think about it in terms of like this, like since you mentioned kind of spirituality, like this moment in time, it is nice to know that we are chronicling what it is like and the meaning of being black and in health care at a time such as this.
Because this is a, people do say unprecedented.
Now the racism piece, that's precedent.
But the racism commingling with this here COVID pandemic, that is unprecedented.
For us to really make a dent in all of this, we have to get proximate.
And that's what's dope about our stories.
We have people in the privacy of their homes, their cars, their walks in the park, their playground moments, their camping trips, allow a whole world of people to get proximate.
to get into our lives and say, you know, this is what it's like right now, you know, to be Black.
Not just this is what it's like to be Black.
This is what it's like to be Black right now in the time of two pandemics.
This is what it's like.
