And the truth is there's two shitty-ass narratives going on right now.
Data centers are evil.
The best part is I normally learn about that on social media where people that hate data centers are using data centers to use social media to talk about how much they hate data centers, the irony of that.
But there's a little bit of a negative misconception not only on data centers, but really the attention is data centers are the target because people are scared of AI, right?
And I said, hey, bro, I'm using AI to open up the aperture of this industry to the world so they can all see it as no longer just a consumer of their utility, but as a partner, a collaborator of utilities to where...
We could actually reinforce grids based on the demand of energy we have to create.
And we could design to zero water.
Or we could use gray water that hits the drain that you're never going to touch from a potable perspective again.
And we could use that in data centers.
So we don't have to go into people's potable water systems.
People are worried about AI for a lot of reasons.
One, because we did a really horrible job as an industry talking about what we were building.
And we continue to do so.
I wish there were more leaders in this industry, more CEOs of operators.
that could come out and talk about the benefits of these buildings that we're creating, specifically in the communities that they're building them in.
Because it's going to be hard for FAMGA or one of these large hyperscalers to come out and say, hey, wait a second, before you say we're evil, we're actually creating thousands of jobs.
That would seem like no one would listen to them and no one would believe them or trust them.
But AI is something that has scared the shit out of people because people think first about how does AI impact me, right?
And right now, to some people, it's only an elimination of a job.
They don't see the jobs that are being created as a byproduct of it, right?
