um but it was such a vibe there and our accommodation peers absolutely nailed it is like was literally across the road from the start line so we could sit on our balcony and watch and you just could see all the people um the morning before on the saturday morning this massive group they must have been doing their um shakeout run it was like hundreds of runners ran past and so then i was like right i'm going for my shakeout

I went on my shakeout run.

I think it's just to shake out the nerves because you've done, like I said, you're not doing much that week.

And so you're just like a little bit of a shakeout.

That did happen to me on the 5K.

There was like one more like easy 5K.

And I think my shoelace came undone.

I got a stitch and I had to go to the bathroom.

For a 5K run, I was like gutted, bro.

yeah okay so this is the story in my head on the morning my head is a bit scrambled scrambled scrambled eggs but I was like I need to double knot my laces and I forgot oh wow

And my shoelace did come undone.
