I was I wasn't part of the cool gang.

And that's when I kind of found sport.

I was like, right, well, I don't want to be sat on my own at lunchtime.

I'm going to go and do something productive.

So I threw myself into sports.

And yeah, that's I think that's where I belonged.

Yes, because I was pushed into directions.

I played netball for the county, I sprinted for the county, I played hockey for the county.

So I was very much in and out of the country, up and down, doing everything.

And I was like, wow, I'm actually pretty good at this.

I've got my PE teacher to thank me for that.

And then when it comes to PE classes, all the kids that were horrible to me, well, guess who they picked first?

So I did something right.

Absolutely.

And I think with how I was brought up made me more determined to create a life where I was as independent as possible.

So that meant to achieve and succeed everywhere possible because I didn't want to rely on anybody because I felt through my life I couldn't rely on anybody to stick around for long enough.

Neither, to be fair.

I can't take away what my mum and my nan did for me.

Like they did what they could with what they could at the time.

My dad wasn't around.
