They were very lucky actually when they came in because in those first few years, for example, I don't seem to remember there was any particular need for huge amounts of defense spending, for example.
You know, they had pledged what they did for education and a new education program.
They pledged what they were going to do for the NHS, which proved to be woefully little.
But actually, there was nothing much happened in those first two years apart from the parliament.
And I'm saying that was massive, absolutely massive.
Yeah, but remember also the Fukuyama thing, which didn't work.
In a sense, it worked with 2003 and the accession states coming into Europe, do you remember?
And all the Baltics and Slovenia, Slovakia and the South, you had these countries and it looked like an optimistic time and how...
Fukuyama has since been disproved actually all over the world.
