At the same time it's a great opportunity for them to play in big minutes, meaningful minutes, and a lot of our younger guys too that uh you know are still fighting for roster spots, uh getting good looks at them and in meaningful games against other teams, you know, best rosters that they can put forward together. matched

It's still a gr really good opportunity for the evaluation phase to continue here. matched

Yeah, he's committed to North to UND. matched

So, um yeah, I was a guy when he was with the development team, um nobody had him listed and we added him to our list at that time and um you know, it was one of those things, staying in constant communication with the player. matched

Um, you know, he had at the end of this season when uh w last season with the development team, the op sh option to either go to the US H L or come to the Western Hockey League and with the rule changes it's uh it didn't seem like it was matched

Uh much of a much of a thought for him to go the other way. matched

I think he wanted to be in a to be in a good league and a good organization and he decided to make the make the plunge and come to Edmonton. matched

Yeah, really good. matched

And I mean he's done that since he's come here at sixteen, leading our team. matched

I mean our team had ten wins on the ice, but for a sixteen year old that was five, six and a half at the time, to lead our team and scoring in the Western League's a pretty impressive feat. matched

So I'm looking for him to continue to build off that and you know, I think the biggest thing with Gavin that I'm looking forward to this year is it's his second year being the captain of our team. matched

I think last year was a bit of a learning curve and that comes with different pressures of being a an eighteen year old matched

captain in the Western League. matched

So looking forward to him leading our group this year as a nineteen year old with that year under his belt of of being the leader of the group and um I think he's uh r even more prepared to do it this year. matched

Well we got Ethan McKenzie back from Minnesota and every indication was that he had a great camp. matched

Um, you know, Reese Peterson's a guy that's played significant minutes in our league. matched

Um so he'll be back there as well. matched

And Nico Sakumas, a twenty year old, and you know, look really looking forward to uh seeing Noah Tammu get into action here after his great Olenka and uh Josh Lee's had a great preseason too. matched
