And so what we did was add a cross-reference to the naming policy just to say anything beyond that, let's say we did have a donor that then wanted

some form of recognition, it would then fall under the naming policy, which requires council approval.

Just because right now it doesn't mention anything about the naming policy.

So these policies were all working independently of their own.

And so with these references, we're just pulling them all together and kind of clarifying that.

Anything beyond these other policies just follow on to the naming policy, which require council approval.

Okay, so I suppose what I'm saying is like when I'm looking at the naming of facilities policy, so now it's the policy on naming logos and branding for city's facilities.

I personally don't want to see logos and branding on city facilities, like for the example I've brought up.

And the way this is written, the city council, three people could vote to say it's okay and I don't actually see a size limit or anything here for, it's okay for this,

this logo to go on your building.

And were we to receive a large donation from a business while they don't have the expectation that they're going to get their logo on it?

But if there was a, you know,

IF THE COMPANY NAMED TREE HAS A TREE LOGO AND THEY WANT TO HAVE THE CITY, THEY DONATE $20 MILLION AND THEY WANT TO HAVE AN EXPANSION OF THE SPORTS CENTER AND THEY WANT TO HAVE IT CALLED THE COOPERTINO TREE SPORTS CENTER EXPANSION AND THEY WANT THE GREAT BIG TREE ON THERE, IT LOOKS LIKE THREE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL COULD ALLOW FOR THAT.

So the donation policy didn't get them the express permission to have their name there, but the naming policy would let them do that if three people on the city council agreed to that.

So that's where I have a problem.

So I personally don't want to see any logos or branding.

Name is fine, but I think we also need to think about how big that's going to be, what we're talking about, because I can see little plaques, but once you start naming convention centers and things after individuals and

I've seen this in other cities.

And we do have the Quinlan Community Center, so that we have named facilities after individuals.

But I feel like this one is a little bit too liberal.
