It's always been a form of expression, as are a lot of the arts like dance, etcetera Absolutely.
Certainly when my son was younger and even today he uses dance as his form of expression.
That that's yeah, that's really a a v a valid point, especially about being in another country where you don't know the language.
Are there any other methods of alternative communication you've used with young people and students before?
Yeah, we use total communication with my son when he was quite young before his you know, his uh v vo vocal language developed further, which is the use of sign and sign and the spoken word that so that's why it's called total communication.
But the other night he popped up for tea and I don't know why, but for some reason he popped out a couple of his signs and I was like oh
Oh yes, I do remember what that one is and we c we had a little signing c conversation which was really, really cool.
So um as both the author and the illustrator, what may seem like a simple children's story is in fact I know a lot of work.
So how did you plan out the book and how long did it take you to create it?
Absolutely, absolutely.
Um, and so your style of storytelling isn't just about the book itself, but more interactive and activity based.
And I notice at the end of the book you you do have an activity there.
You also have your own YouTube channel which I have checked out.
Can you tell our listeners more about some of your other projects and your YouTube channel?
Absolutely.
And uh make sure you remind me about that.

Which is really great.
And a lot of work too, because you've created like little dioramas which are little scenes.
Yes.
