And I had to go through all these tests.

And then I had to figure out what viruses had changed in the real world that I hadn't been exposed to in prison.

And so you go through that whole process.

I went through fertility treatments for four years.

At no time did I realize that they could take my eggs and freeze them and I could wait a while.

You know, I was 40 when I came home.

So...

there's a rush on things.

They never told me that I didn't have to go through all that.

I could get an egg donor and I could carry a baby.

So there was nobody there to really tell me what my options were and all the tests.

They just scared me because I'd went so long without health care.

I thought, oh, OK, it's because I'm healthy and, you know, they're not going to

They're not going to do these things.

I didn't know I should have been having those regularly.

I should have had a mammogram.

I should have been checked up on.

So to go through that whole process, plus I'm trying to rebuild my life, reenter society, connect with my child.

it was just overwhelming.

And now that I've went through all of that, you know, that threw me right into menopause.
