It helped me coming in that I wasn't deep in that, right?

I wasn't raised in the party.

I wasn't raised in the youth arm.

I'd always been a social Democrat.

My parents, I mean, they're not active in the party, but, you know, they met in Sweden and

You know, they were left leaning.

I mean, I'm just raised in that type of household.

So it became or it was very natural to me.

But I spent like a lot of my formative years in the US.

I lived abroad.

I came back home.

I wasn't necessarily tied into like a clique.

And it helped me come in because I wasn't.

I didn't say yes to everything people said.

And I asked critical questions.

You know, I wanted Iceland to have a social democratic party like they had in the Nordics.

And I didn't understand.

And I, you know, I'm still of this opinion that this should be the largest party here, which it still is.

And it's been the largest party since I took over the party, which is a huge achievement for us.

I mean, this this was like a historical thing to bring social democracy to this place, because at core, there's a lot of people that here that have a social democratic nerve.
