And obviously that's completely off the table for Israel.

So I'm not sure what's going on behind the scenes there.

I think that Trump promised the Gulf Arab allies of the United States that this war was going to be quick and easy.

They sort of bought in to that idea.

You know, they saw what we did in Venezuela.

You're this big superpower going to be paired with Israel.

You can deal with this Iranian thorn in our side.

That sounds great.

And then once they realized the reality that, oh, Iran can fight back and now our countries are getting hit and our entire existence in this region is in danger because you can't live in that region without electricity, without desalination plants, without

importing a lot of goods to just to feed the population and sustain the population.

You know, once they realized that they became a lot less enamored with this idea of the Iran war.

So, you know, my sense was Trump was trying to give throw them some bone.

You also can't disentangle any of this from all of the business interests that he and his family members have in the region.

You know, usually the easiest explanation for things that are happening here is just straightforward corruption.

So that's the other piece you have to take into account, too.

I was just watching one of those Harry Anton polling clips about the view of Israel.

And he was saying, listen, you may think there's a Democratic Party shift.

No, this is the entire American people who have changed their minds, especially Democrats and independents, a little bit less so Republicans.

But you see shifts there as well.

There's been something like I think the number was like a 65 point shift away from favorability of Israel since Trump's first term to this term.
