And so maybe it was just me being a baby gay that was the innocence.

But there was this gentleness there.

For sure, to us being together.

So whenever my partner and I want time alone, she assists me with whatever I need.

And I have always been guided by her.

in a sense, what I think I need.

And she was really uncomfortable to begin with catheterizing when we were out because a lot of people thought that she was my PA or thought that she was a friend or a sibling, which often happens in queer relationships.

And that was very difficult to navigate to begin with because how do you reassure someone that it doesn't matter?

No, yeah.

So I have 24-hour care from the nine PAs that I have rotating in and out of my house.

When we want –

time alone or to go away together alone.

She does my care.

But I would not be able to live with my partner or marry my partner without losing all of my government benefits.

Yeah, it doesn't make any sense to me logically, financially.

If they see my partner as being able to provide the care that I would need, they would then reduce the funding that I had for my own PAs.
