And so one of the things I would just convey is fraud levels on RTP are lower than I think what a lot of people assume.
I think initially it was a very effective message, faster payments, faster fraud.
It's just
it's not what we're actually seeing with the data, just by nature of how the transaction is processed.
These are push payments, they're not pull payments.
And so ultimately it's something that we're not seeing those fraud rates.
Now, one of the things that we are seeing is that there is authorized push payment fraud.
This is an activity that, or a fraudulent scam, or excuse me,
This is a fraud type that we are seeing kind of grow throughout the globe, right?
Not just domestically.
And these are more related to social engineering.
So the customer is involved in the transaction in some way.
This is not like a system breach.
This is not like a traditional like card fraud compromise where there's a skimmer in the ATM and they're stealing your mag stripe.
So in this case, it's visibility and education matter just as much as the technology to mitigate this type of activity.
And lastly, what I can say is with the clean data,
Pairing it with cross-channel monitoring and just overall customer outreach, this is how we make progress in mitigating fraud, just across payments in general, but especially with RTP.
All that to be said, it is still and will be a very safe and secure network, and it's something that I'm super proud to be involved with.
