How I looked did not determine what kind of job I got.
It was all about my intelligence and my capabilities.
and my ability to deliver a product for them.
And people didn't really – I had to wear hard yakka to work, you know.
Like I wore bright orange and dark blue for the, you know, first 10 years of my career.
No one looks good in that stuff.
And that was pretty deliberate choosing that career too, you know, getting to have that kind of environment.
But I just – it's never felt like I had any pressure to look a certain way, to own a certain set of things, and I see whenever I see that money spent.
Like if I see a flash car, I still go –
That is a deposit on a house.
What a waste.
That's just how I think.
So, yeah, I guess that's a very long rambling answer for I don't feel like I missed out.
You know, I still had expensive holidays.
I still like good food.
I live in a fantastic suburb.
I can see the ocean from my house.
Everybody's happy, but I just don't have – I've got hand-me-down furniture and curbside collection furniture because I just don't care.
Those things don't matter to me.
So it's actually been a real advantage.
