And I think so much in my work in working with parents has been to open up this conversation that feelings are okay.
You know, and and so often when I talk to parents and I have lots more men coming to hear me talk now.
And just asking them that question, like this imprinting that you had, that you're allowed to be angry, but you're not allowed to be sad, you know, and young little girls, you're allowed to be sad, you're not allowed to be angry.
Like we we have these
things that are so unspoken that are placed on our shoulders and then the family you grew up in and how your parents responded and what you watch with them, we're all doing some really big undoing at the moment.
Like we're all and and I have heart that
I see the amount of parents that come and want to do it differently.
And it's hard.
And I say to them all the time, you are in the middle.
Like you are trying to parent your kids with a different level of awareness.
You're also reparenting yourself at the same time.
And you've also probably got your parents there looking at you with these faces of like, Why are you doing what are you doing?
Just give them a smack.
Or, you know, you need to pull them into line.
And as we're trying to figure out how to be
connected to ourselves, it's messy.
It's really messy.
And it's tricky.
Yet I feel like we are at this really incredible time in history where we have the opportunity to do some massive healing.
