So when I had when we did this course, I talked about, you know, some main principles.

I looked at the concept of competency, commitment, leading by example, leading with humility.

Now, let me just speak on one of them, competency.

So for example, I said to them, when you're hiring people for particular jobs, do you just hire someone because they're qualified?

Or are you also looking at their personality?

Now the personality is important, especially when it comes to regulatory infrastructure.

I'll give you an example.

If you have someone that, yeah, they've got the the the top PhD in a particular area, great, they're the most qualified.

But does that person's character relate to the job?

For example, if a mine or hospital, even for X-ray, X-ray has intermediation, if a hospital is not managing

An X ray machine properly, they're basically harming their patients.

Now, if I send someone in there to check and say, okay,

X-ray machines should be here, should be there.

And if someone that's knows, but is very quiet and says, Oh, excuse me, sir, can you please move this?

That person is qualified, but they're not competent enough.

Well, if you have someone that even just has a basic degree, but it said, you know what?

If you don't move that machine now, I'm gonna shut you down.

Who are they gonna listen to?

So something very basic.

Having the right people doing the right things is very, very important.
