Uh, it was over nine hours from sunrise to sundown of straight skiing.

And I that was a big accomplishment.

And then I

kind of had a a period of, oh gosh, what do I do now?

And after that, this is when I started doing this crazy thing.

Um, I went out in I think it was 2019.

And uh I I cross country skied like five days in a row.

And I thought, hmm.

I wonder if I could do two more days, maybe make uh a whole week straight of cross country skiing.

So I did and

Then I just kept going and I kept going that season until the snow ran out, which was like in May or something.

And uh I ended up uh hitting a hundred days in a row.

Wow.

And had a little uh uh celebration with my friends uh when that happened.

I I never thought I'd hit a hundred days in a row.

And when that happened, I thought, hmm, I wonder what the longest streak is.

The world is.

So I started doing some research on it.

I started a Reddit thread and uh got input from people around the world and tried to research in newspapers and anywhere I could any noted um streaks.

And I noted a fellow in Norway named Tom Stensecker had skied 200 days in a row.
