So just being really creative with finding ways to generate whatever you're working on, because there's not usually, you know, time and space and energy.

You just kind of have to be committed to it.

And then I find the more distance, like, it's like a relationship.

You need to stay in touch with your book.

I can't get too far away.

Right now, I'm working on something new.

I'm really excited about it.

But, you know, work has me.

removed from it.

So I'm out of touch with it a little bit.

It's really hard to get back in.

So staying in the flow, staying in touch with your book, like any muscle, I mean, anything that you want to have continued access to, I find I need to stay in the zone, even in these tiny little micro ways.

And then, you know, get comfortable with uncertainty.

And I'm someone who's like a doer.

I like to strong arm the universe and make things happen.

I have, you have, you, the writer, you don't get to choose who signs you always.

You don't get to choose when that happens.

You don't get to choose like what editor says yes.

Not that you have no agency and you have no say, but a lot of these things are up to fate, up to chance.

And that is not my default setting, surrendering to the universe.
