So again, it points to a bigger truth in American politics, which is that on both sides of the aisle, there are way too many politicians hanging on for way, way too long.
Mitch McConnell has not been well for a while.
Arguably, he should have stood aside previously.
But once these people get into a position like that, they just can't be clawed out of it.
And I think that's sad.
And I think it's a really shocking indictment of American political culture.
is correct absolutely jack's point is really well made in the sense that these people who hang around for so long they almost become industries in and of themselves because their young staffers on capitol hill very many of them would have moved on to the lobbying trade and there's the money there's the spheres of influence etc so nobody is going to i'm sorry to use this expression nobody is going to kill the golden goose as long as the goose can keep going

And an awful lot of people make an awful lot of money owing to their relationships with politicians who've been on Capitol Hill forever.

It's forecast to grow even more.
This is something we need to have.
