And I think in that case, uh Devo, their fifth album called Oh No, it's Devo.

There's a song in there called Explosions.

I thought you were gonna say uh I can't get no sets.

That's what I thought too.

A li A Little Diddy, no one's heard of

No, that was on that was Are We Not Men We Are Devo.

That was like their their debut.

And that's a legitimately great cover that Devo does of the stones.

But I wanna play the original Devo song, Explosions, and then I wanna play a cover.

This is an instance where I heard the cover first.

Oh, okay.

I was actually just telling somebody about this recently and they were shocked that I that I didn't even know Devo when I was like 14 years old.

But in 1998, the DC punk band Frotus covered explosions for their album Conglomerate International and it just completely explodes the original.

What I like about this cover is this song Explosions was sort of a response to how people treated Devo as a novelty band.

Because they just heard Whippit and I thought, oh, they're the Whippit band.

And so they decided to make the most ridiculous commercial new wavy song that they could.

And then poke fun at the listeners and themselves at the same time.

So here's this album from Frotis that's all about deconstructing corporate America and they're just twisting it a little bit to their own devices.
