Yeah, so that kind of fed through to our session.
I think that's why we did start off really on the front foot lifting by 1% and then faded as the session went on.
But there's been a lot of company news on the local front as well.
One that's caught my eye has been 4D Medical, the lung imaging company, and that's because it's the top performer.
It's up 13% following its strong quarterly update.
Now, the big positive in its results was growth.
Now, the company completed a record number of medical scans, added more hospital and imaging sites, and reported higher revenue than last year.
In fact, operating revenue grew 23% year-on-year to $7.2 million, and investors were also encouraged by its expansion into the United States.
So that's the top performer today.
Jewelry retailer Michael Hill was out with a stronger than expected trading update today.
Now, total sales rose 2%.
And out of the three markets that it operates in, they all improved, including here in Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
But Canada did see the strongest same store sales growth, which was up 7%.
And the thing investors seem to focus on most was that Michael Hill expects to post earnings growth of up to 57% compared to last year.
And that's partly thanks to tighter cost controls.
And it also shut down six of its weaker performing stores over the year.
All right, looking ahead from here, US markets look like they could get off to a positive start tonight.
The Dow and S&P 500 futures pointing up by half a percent and Nasdaq futures pointing up 1.3%.
I think some of those big earnings to do with that lift that we're expecting there.
