Now, locally, Monday is a bank holiday in New South Wales, but markets are still open because it's not a national holiday.

Of course, reporting season kicks off, so I think that will be in focus next

week.

But keep in mind, it does start a little quieter and starts to heat up as the weeks go on, especially week three and four.

So the back half of the month is usually super busy, but still plenty of companies to look out for this week, including Credit Corp, Beach Energy, REA Group, AMP, we have ResMed, Block Inc, and plenty more.

Yeah, there's heaps of companies reporting in the United States, but we will have to wait till I think it's the 26th of August for NVIDIA results.

That's the last of the magnificent seven.

Also in the United States, nonfarm payrolls right at the end of the week.

And that, of course, follows softer than expected inflation data that we saw just recently.

And we should quickly mention that we did record a reporting season preview today.

That'll be out sometime next week.

And we're heading into the busiest 24 hours of the entire week for investors.

Well, another small move for the Aussie market today, but at least we are moving in an upward direction.

So leading into the close, the Aussie market is up by around a quarter of 1%.

We've roughly halved our improvements as the day has gone on.

So we did do our best work earlier on in the session, about an hour into trade, but we have pulled back a little bit from those levels.

And look, as you rightfully point out, we're only seeing two of 11 sectors up.

lifting, but luckily one of them is our second largest sector.
