kind of financial control sometimes it's about beliefs around the kids and what their life might look like or fear for the kids there's also fear to life especially if there's violence you know there's real risks that come with leaving someone who's physically abusive and then like with this person right so she said her confidence has gone down interesting it kind of comes back to what we were just speaking about in the last one but when you are the person who gives someone else confidence and you chip and you chip and you chip
It's like the self-esteem is gone unless you're there to give it back to them.
And when we have no self-esteem, it's very hard to make decisions independently.
You know, we lean on other people to give us those answers.
And then I think something that a lot of people overlook is that the fact that there's love involved.
You know, we can love people who hurt us and love is very powerful.
It's really, really difficult to let go of.

So even though like you were like, I don't want to see him.
Did it validate anything that you're like, okay, that was, that actually was bad.
