Interestingly, like that story for me starts at 4am and myself and my, he's my husband now, but my partner at the time, we woke at four o'clock in the morning and the two of us, I had a 12 hour shift coming at me at like eight o'clock.
So I was like, why are we awake?
This is so annoying.
Like two of us couldn't get back to sleep, but we were just chatting away.
It was COVID times and I'd actually left my shoes that I needed on the ward in my mom's house, which is kind of on the way anyway.
So I didn't mind too much.
Got myself back to sleep, woke up then around six and had a message from my mom being like, Dan left me a weird message.
And I was kind of like, okay, look, I'll be down anyway.
I have to get my shoes, I'll pop into you.
So I popped into my mom's and I just went in and herself and my sister were chatting really worried in the kitchen.
and my mum was like I got this message from Dan last night and I'm just not really sure about it it looks weird and the message said I'm sorry mum I'm no good I never will be yeah
And it was obviously a frightening message, alarm bells went off for all of us.
But I had the sense that, don't worry guys, it's going to be fine.
Like, it's not what you think.
Because I was messaging Dan on messenger and it was saying it was being viewed and it wasn't, you know, the guards had the phone on all the way this time and it was coming up that he was seeing all of my messages.
Okay, so you were less worried.
Yeah, absolutely.
I was giving him shit.
