And um just before I get into that, I'd just love to piggyback on what m um the question you asked Melissa around um
You know, this this challenging case with this for-profit hospice because I mean I think there is a lot of variation heterogeneity.
And that was kind of what we were trying to get at in this disenrollment paper.
Um, but you know, I think there are it's not like a blanket statement that, you know, all for-profit hospices are bad.
Um, and I think that there are some really great.
for profit hospices out there that are actually able to provide
more services um and more open access for patients.
And that's actually something that can make it more appealing to patients who are potentially more reluctant to forego curative treatments or don't have the resources in the home.
Um, so um so anyway, so you know, I I fully agree y that, you know, the private equity is really concerning.
Um and that we we need to be thinking about these things a lot.
So
Yeah, so that's a great question.
I mean I my interest in this paper and this topic goes back a long time um and is based on my clinical experience as a hospice nurse, um, where I was taking care of what I felt like and what we've confirmed with research is about half of my patients um as a nurse case manager.
Um
in hospice half of my patients had dementia.
Um and
Although I saw that hospice was providing a lot of really great quality care for these patients, I also saw a lot of problems.
And um
