Well, I would think that all of those pieces, they are... There's a central two.

This has Alex and Charlie.

Previously, we had Bibi and Thomas James.

And A Generous Lover has...

Orpheus and the other one.

So there are twins, there are intense relationships between two people, but they also triangulate.

So in At Certain Points We Touch, Bibi and Thomas James, there was a third wheel to that relationship.

And in A Generous Lover, the...

Orpheus's lover is also in three voices.

So there are these central twos, but they do triangulate.

And I think ultimately human relationships

are just, they're fascinating, aren't they?

And they're one of those things that there's no escaping them, you know?

So everyone's had difficult relationships or beautiful relationships, and so it allows you in a way to kind of, a bit like writing about the sticky floors if you're talking about characters who have lost the plot.

If you're talking about relationships, then that connection is something

you can offer to your reader as like a hand and saying, okay, there's all this other mad shit, but fundamentally it's about these people trying to deal with each other.

The twist being, of course, are there two people trying to deal with each other in this book?

To what extent is that the case?
