And we were told over and over, it's going to be hard to go after them.
The laws haven't caught up.
They're different.
You know, there's Section 230, right, which is like we're not responsible for like this is what this is.
Section 230 is what a lot of tech companies have hidden behind for a very long time.
We're not responsible for the content on our platforms.
Because they're a host of a site, you know, but also like there could be more and more repercussions now that laws are being passed that are saying, oh, it's actually illegal to disseminate this or create this.
Because when he started, it wasn't.
And also you have to understand he's in Canada.
Laws are different in Canada than here in the United States.
Just last week, right, we have a federal law on this.
So, you know, at one point when the UK passed or started discussing passing a law on this, they blocked, Mr. DeFix blocked access.
So you couldn't actually see, get this if you were in the UK for legal purposes.
So right after this passed just last week, there's a site, if you go to Mr. DeFix now, which I hope you don't, there's something up, there's a message up that essentially says,
we lost a critical server and data.
I can only assume that was for legal reasons.
So I think the headline here is for, and I can get into what I think could happen to David later, but what I would say is like for folks who say it's a game of whack-a-mole, right?
Like you're going to do this and there's going to be all these other things.
And, you know, we feel so out of control with so many of the things happening around AI and how it's going to be used.
I think this is actually such a big moment and such a big win to say like, actually creating friction creates change.
