Appearances
You had Mo Lewis.
You had Aaron Glenn.
You had Dwight Stone.
You had Rich Anderson.
You had Curtis Martin.
So the list goes on and on and on of guys that when they spoke, you listened and they told you something.
And these guys is about winning.
And that's what this team should be about, and I think they will be.
Yeah, 5-2.
Well, I think that comes with time and trust, which I think offensive coordinators give their players.
They trust the guys that they have out there to get them to the right plays and then to make the right decisions.
It'll work out in time.
I don't think, again, that's why they have these practices.
They're in training camp to try and learn each other and get along with each other and figure out
what is Garrett going to do when this breaks down?
Or what is Brees going to do when somebody comes through?
Because then they can put stuff together and work off of that.
So I think with time and them working together, he'll get to know their strengths and their weaknesses, and he'll be able to draw up stuff to always kind of keep them away from getting in bad situations and those long downs and distances which people get uncomfortable with.
And because even watching them without pads today, they were still running the ball on first down and second down and make sure that they're on the positive side second and third down.
Well, like I say, the matchup is where you're going to, because if you flex one of those tight ends out, you have to decide whether you're going to bring in another cornerback or you're going to move a linebacker out of the box.
