And if we don't, I think we've learned now as grown-ass adults that if we don't fully process feelings like that, they can resurface in the form of trauma.

We don't want Bears trauma to come back if we just barely, oh, no, it's fine.

It was a great year.

No, it was really a good year because it was a good year and it was all of that.

But I'm not ready for a lot of that today.

I didn't find myself ready for it last night because, man, they had that.

They absolutely effing had that.

And I don't know how many years we have, Lawrence, where you're able to sit there and go, you know what?

We could win the whole damn thing.

And this was a year where we ended up believing that.

That we could win against any team.

We could find a way because our coaches are smart and our quarterback is special and our defensive coordinator can adjust and look what he can do with the blitzes and all that.

We could have won the whole damn thing.

I don't know.

I don't know for sure we're going to feel that way next year.

And there's no guarantee that that feeling is back.

Just because a window's opening and all the goodness and everything, that's why I find myself wanting to mourn it properly.
