I put myself through my senior year in high school.
And then I, first half of the 80s, played over a thousand shows in a rock and roll band, playing guitar and singing.
Started my first, I didn't count that as a business, but it really was.
Started my first real business in 93.
And I kept struggling to get a capability.
It would build internal fulfillment, self-esteem.
I'd use it to create value.
And I just kept choosing.
And I still choose today to take bigger and bigger steps.
And so I'm sort of building on this.
That's the journey.
That's the fun.
And I've heard you talk about it in some of your other conversations in your podcast.
If you're always waiting for this thing, you'll never get out of that mode.
I love this and my hack for me personally making it work and my most important internal number is fulfillment.
Every year that's increasing because of the work that I'm doing.
It's impossible to me to be happy all the time because there's a lot of struggle when you're developing.
But internal fulfillment is continually going up.
And if I'm intentionally creating objectively measurable value materially, emotionally, and spiritually in the right balance for me, this is a pretty cool journey to be on.
It's, gosh, it's only, I'm on my, since I became an adult, this is my 46-year overnight success story.
