He is one of the best run defensive, defensive line coaches as far as getting you to use your hands properly, getting you to play with leverage, and then understanding what an offensive lineman is doing to you and how to combat that.
So when people had concerns about David Bailey, I was like, my concerns aren't as big because I know the guy he's working with.
The stuff that you can't coach as far as him getting to the quarterback, that's why he went number two overall is because he can affect the quarterback.
Let's not forget EA.
The Jets, I believe, only had 26 sacks last year, which was 31st in the NFL.
There's only 32 teams in the NFL.
So David Bailey gives you instant pass rush juice.
So I want to see him continue to take a step like that.
And I know people will say for the offseason, it was quiet.
For defensive linemen, there's no pads.
You're not going to hear a lot between the offensive line and defensive line.
Training camp is where you really get your inclination of what somebody is going to be because the pads come on.
And that's when you can really start to develop and grow as a pass rusher and a run defender because I know that's the question mark that people have when it comes to David Bailey.
Yeah, so I went back and watched a little bit of Colts tape and then also that 2023 tape.
Because remember, at first, he wasn't the play caller.
I believe Thomas Brown was.
But then towards the back end of the year for Carolina, Frank Wright took over the play caller.
And so I was looking at some of those games in November.
And when you look at it, he's a heavy zone-based team.
And I honestly think that
