Today to help us unravel this, I'm joined by Tiff Bryant, who is a two-time founder, UK Innovation.
and CEO of the Dooler Hive, where she's building an infrastructure for the birthcare industry.
I'm fascinated to talk to Tiff because I set up a maternal mental health service and I'm still connected with Perinatal Connected, a charity in Derby.
She grew up poor and was briefly homeless as a child.
She became a teen mum and, in her own words, a high school dropout.
But she went on to complete an MSc in entrepreneurship with distinction.
That is no mean feat.
Those masters are really.
Really, really hard work.
And she's built up two companies across two continents.
She has pioneered this doula model, which is now considered an industry standard.
At the point of having a picture perfect, American life, whatever that is.
She felt stagnation and decided that that was the real risk in her life.
