Well, I think the first half after conceding so early, I thought we kind of grew into the game, got our confidence up a little bit.

But then in the second half after conceding the second goal,

The confidence completely went.

We were making basic errors.

All the basic things in football that you're expected to give on the football pitch, we didn't do.

I spoke with the players in the changing room and I made it clear that that second-half performance was unacceptable.

Obviously, listen, the confidence is low.

We understand that when the position we're in.

So the confidence is going to be low.

The second goal, I think it just killed all belief in the players.

But listen, you're still professional.

You still have to go right to the end, whether as a player you believe you can get back into the game or not.

There's so many basic errors out there.

So many things are expected to do on the football pitch, which is drilled into you from a kid, really, that we didn't do.

So it's very disappointing to see.

You can only apologise to the fans who have obviously travelled over this festive period.

But like I say, we have to just try and dust ourselves down and get on with the game at Watford on Saturday.

Well, obviously, it's been a worrying time because we're bottom of the league and the situation we're in.

Of course I'm worried because, like you say, I've been at the club a long time.
