It's been 15 years of hard work to get us where we are.

And today just felt like...

the players didn't do all the hard work that's been gone before.

So it's a worrying situation for the club.

Of course, we have to keep going, whether that's myself or someone else.

I told the players, a new manager or whoever's going to come in hasn't got a magic wand.

We have to make sure we do the basics right and we give everything we've got.

Otherwise, if we don't, it's going to be a very, very long second half of the season.

Honestly, I don't know.

There's no update on that from me.

I spoke with the chairman on Christmas Eve.

That was the last time I spoke, so we're due to report into training in the morning.

Whether I speak to the chairman or the owners tonight or tomorrow, I don't know.

We'll just have to see how we go.

I just feel they need to make sure they make the right decision.

I can understand people...

maybe thinking that they need to make a quick decision.

But I think for the long-term future of the club, they need to make sure that they make the right appointment.

They don't rush in terms of just getting someone in because of this result.

I think we've got to make sure we get the long-term vision right, which is what we've always had.
