I remember that day in court and I kind of had everyone warned.
I said, no, guys, look, they're going to use, you know, really harsh words like, you know, Leona's terminal.
And, you know, I just had them very prepared because they were all with me.
And when they were reading it out, I just remember looking at my family and my parents and
Alan's mom and they were all in tears and Alan was in tears and I wasn't I was kind of like this I just felt like thank you like this is a relief like I didn't even feel upset I just felt like I kind of felt like this is another step for the women of Ireland like we this is this is huge you know I wanted this apology more than anything I did ask for the apology half afraid to ask him because I was thinking I'm not going to get it you know so I was just really really happy when I got it like
So since we done quadruple therapy anyway, when I found out I had stage four.
So it was like chemos and immunotherapies.
And after about six sessions of the chemotherapy, we done more scans.
And like they were saying, like, yeah, the tumour had reduced now.
bear in mind I feel my tumour all the time so I knew I had reduced I was like I feel like this is almost gone you know and I was nearly afraid to say it out loud and then they confirmed that they said yeah the tumour is actually dissolved and it's still in lymph nodes we still have some swollen lymph nodes but we're going to continue with immunotherapy so I was like really happy because I knew how good this immunotherapy was you know so I'd done that through the summer then and then I think it was the September we went on holidays with my friends and
My Sarah and her husband and her kids and my kids and Alan.
And I was laying at the pool one of the days and I just said, oh, no, like I feel this lump again.
You know, I remember saying to Alan and Sarah and we kind of laughed it off.
Sarah was like, oh, we've all lumps and bumps, you know, and we laughed it off.
And then when I came back and I got a scan in the October and yeah, I had come back.
So the tumour had come back.
So they took me off the immunotherapy.
And I just thought, right, like, this is it, you know, my time is up.
And then we decided they were going to do a little bit of radiotherapy to just give me as much time as I could get.
And, you know, again, I had been contacted in so many different hospitals.
