maybe start considering how they can reload for next year because it is not looking good, neither in the division nor in the wildcard, where they are five and a half games out, which in this American League is not particularly close.
There's a lot of teams that are within a game, game and a half of the wildcard.
I mean, they're interesting, but it's kind of.
You know, you're looking at a team full of players who have kind of underperformed this year.
And so for the first, you know, half plus of the season, it's been the Blue Jays assuming that risk of, yeah, but we know that this guy is better than this.
He's going to snap out of it.
And now you're asking other teams to assume that risk.
You know, is like Shane Bieber going to...
he doesn't seem to be, to be like a change of scenery candidate.
Like he's kind of an established thing and he's just not having a good year.
And so really the guys that teams are going to want your, it's those Louis Varland type players, like the guys who are actually performing up to, you know, expectations or a little above.
So there are some interesting pieces.
Everybody's always going to need relievers.
Everybody's always going to need starting pitching, versatile, versatile players.
But your big chips, I just don't know.
Is Kevin Gossman going to be the trade chip that he would have been if he was having a more Kevin Gossman-like year?
Or has he sort of aged out?
And we're seeing the beginning of the decline.
And if so, how much is the team really going to give up for that guy?
